Here we have a pile of Amy Butler fabric, one of my favourite fabric designers. Finding the right fabrics can be hard. Tobit, my husband, picked up a some amazing fabrics from Amy’s new ‘Love’ range when on a recent trip to Harvard Uni. He braved the Cambridge bus system and rode out through the suburbs to the Fabric Corner. One review described the smell of the nail bar above the shop, although this was not that noticeable. The shop itself was a goldmine and the staff very helpful. I might have to travel out with him on his next trip, just to check it out!
Building a fabric stock can be somewhat obsessional – constant searching on Ebay, blogs, fabric shops and so on. And, when you have found an amazing print, actually cutting it can be a little traumatic!
