My ‘new’ sewing machine

27 Jan

Wow, I’ve had a chance this morning to play with my ‘new’ old machine.

It is hand powered so there is great control on speed which I sometimes find hard with my electric, so I thought I would have a go at some Poppy Treffry style work.  I have long been an admirer of her work but didn’t think I had the patience, Tobi bought me her book Free and Easy Stitch Style last year and it made me really want to give it a go.

Here’s what I have done this morning:

It may well become a tea cosy (thanks for the push on this Claire!).  This machine is fantastic, it may well become my new best friend.
