I have been sewing

27 Jun

I’ve not had much to say in the last week or so, I’ve been caught up with sewing and other stuff and not felt the motivation or had the energy to write.  I’ll be short and maybe sweet, I’ve got a craft fair on Sunday at Matthews Hall in Topsham, the Craft Hub Summer of Love fair from 10am  – 4pm, if you’re local do please pop along.  So I’ve been sewing for this:

A stack of selvedge journal/notebook covers:

At Christmas these were really popular so as I had a bag full of selvedges I thought I make some more. They are A6 size and I made some with a more masculine feel to them (and I have another pile on the table waiting to be finished).

I’ll have any leftovers for sale in my Etsy shop next week, but if you want to buy one now they are £10 plus p&p (just send me your paypal email and I’ll invoice you).

And a pile of these wonderful earbud pouches:

I made one for Tobit last year using Erin’s fantastic tutorial, he uses it all the time and says it is fantastic for keeping his earphones tangle free and safe.  So I purchased Erin’s pattern with a licence to sell and made a pile for sale.  You could also use them for coins or any other small things you want close at hand, I can imagine my children storing marbles or lego pieces in them:

As with the notebooks any ‘leftovers’ will be for sale, these are £9.00 plus p&p.

It is often the case that there is more but that will have to wait, I’m finalising another kit for my Etsy shop and hope to be able to show you before the end of the week.

  1. Wow, they look great! I’m going to try those notebook covers and I guess if I screw them up I can always beg you to make some for me! I was thinking they’d be clever Xmas gifts, or even what my family calls ‘generic gifts’, ie gifts we keep on hand, for when some friend or other has a bday and we need a gift, pronto!

  2. oh mary, those earbud pouches are super cute! and your notebook covers are creative!!!! hope the fair is a success! 🙂

  3. Cute! What a lot of work. I especially love the selvage notebook covers. I need to pull out my selvages one of these days and use them for something. Thanks for linking up to Slash the Stash!
