April projects

1 May

I’ve just realised that it’s the 1st of May and therefore Fresh Sewing Day, I’m not sure how it sneaked up on me but it did!

I started the month with the And Sew On BOM, this I think is my favourite so far:

Snip it Real Good / Not for paper

After winning the Aeroplane Bag pattern I thought I’d better get on and make it:Aeroplane Bag

Kids Clothes Week was on this month, and I had a productive week along with a few mistakes:

Treasure Pocket Pants - whales

Trousers for Mathias, shorts for the girls:

KCW shorts

and pyjama bottoms for Bethan and Mathias:

PJ bottoms
If you’re interested in fabrics and/or pattern details see this post.

I helped out a lady in distress over missing bee blocks.

Churn Dash blocks for Emily

Again despite the chaos I’ve managed to get quite a lot of sewing done.  Building work is nearing completion; we need doors and windows, more electrics and plumbing work, most of that will be done for us but we do need to paint the plaster work before we can put the kitchen in, I’m hoping that next month we’ll have made great progress!

  1. WOW! You got a lot done! Excellent work! I love the bright colors and the fun, and I really wish I was more confident about sewing clothing. It would have been fun to make things for my boys this past month!

  2. Just popping over from Lily’s Quilts to say hi. I love your pieced scissors – I haven never been all that taken with intricate piecing but I just may have to change your mind. It is a gorgeous block.
I am just gathering all the materials to make an aeroplane bag too. Yours is great.
And all that kids clothing sewing too. I keep missing kids clothing week. Juliex
