Wow I’ve just noticed that it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything here, I’ve been busy with children on holiday from school and preparations for my brothers wedding and then the trip to that (more about it another day).
Last month I talked about resisting buying Bike Path that was just £3 per metre, this month I caved in and bought 10 metres of it!

Yes you did read that right; but it is for backing the quilts that I’m involved in making for the Siblings Together charity. Lovely quilters have been sending Susy and me wonderful wonky cross blocks to stitch together ready for the summer camps, at the moment I think we have enough for 3 quilts and are on our way to 4!
The only other fabric that entered the house (aside from vintage sheets) was this gorgeous piece:
I put a plea swap request out on IG for some Anna Maria Horner fabric that I could make a clutch purse with to go with my dress for the wedding. I had a few kind offers and the very lovely Moira sent me 1/2 yard of Loves Me, Loves Me Not in grape (from the Innocent Crush quilting weight range)
Fairly promptly I turned it in to this:
I don’t appear to have made any dent in my stash this year, it looks like this fast could go on all year!

I have just written my post ready to post tomorrow and you know I’ve noticed exactly the same thing – I’ve made three quilts now from stash but you’d never know I’d used up that much fabric looking in my fabric drawers. At this rate I may have to fast all year too! Love the clutch too!
Well backing for charity quilts is totally allowed! And the AMH didn’t go near your stash so I reckon that’s allowed too, no?

I was good and resisted the £3 bike path. But, err, I may have bought an entire bolt of Britten Nummer in Ikea at £3/m *ahem*

Backing is allowed- I failed again this month as I went to Uttoxeter yesterday :S I didn’t buy much but failing is failing.
I’m sure backing is allowed, especially when it’s for such a good cause! I love your new clutch bag!
