Not aiming high

5 Jun

It’s time to set a goal for the month, it feels like it’s going to be a busy one but I’ve looked at my FAL list for this quarter and decided that I’m going to try to finish the Hedgehog quilt top.

I am not aiming for a finished quilt, it would be great to achieve that but I’ve not even got as far as thinking about layouts or backing fabric so that’s unlikely!

I’ve got 23 finished blocks, I think we planned a 5 x 5 layout so Bethan needs to choose 2 more sets of fabric and I need to stitch just 2 more blocks!

Then we need to decide on surround fabrics for the blocks and size of those too. Maybe sometime next week I’ll have some head space to work on it, for now I’m trying to prepare for tomorrows birthday celebrations for Leah who turns 8 on Monday!

  1. Bethan clearly has great taste in colour selection as they look really beautiful. I could do with her help for the ”my small world quilt’ I’m doing where I’m agonising over every choice….

  2. Oh, these are looking so cute! How long does a hedgehog take you, now that you’ve made so many of ’em? You’re going to talk me into buying the pattern yet… 😉
