WIP Wednesday

1 Jul

So here it is again; WIP Wednesday!  This weeks main WIP is this:

A couple of weeks ago we had our hallway, stairs and landing plastered, so far this week we have sanded all the woodwork, fitted picture rails, painted the plaster with a mist coat.  I’ll admit it I am the assistant, Tobit knows what he is doing so I generally follow his instructions.

However the children finish school at around 3 each day so one of us needs to go and collect them.  This are all good things, pre children we probably wouldn’t stop until hunger took over!  This has meant that there has been some time for sewing, and so far this week I’ve made a birthday gift for Leah to take to a party on Saturday:

I need to add a zip tab or something so this is still officially a WIP.

I’ve hand stitched some of the binding on Bethan’s quilt.  That is slow progress as by the time I sit on the sofa in the evening my eyes are a bit too tired!

There’s probably got about 70″ left to do!

I’ve also started a little bit of paper piecing.

Can you guess what it is?

  1. Love love love the hedgehog block. Well, love anything that Elizabeth does really. I’m massively impressed at you tackling your own refurb too. I’d be terrified of putting a hammer through something important. Like my other half…
