WIP Wednesday

30 Sep

I’m delighted to have finished 2 scrappy log cabin quilts since last weeks WIP post, I haven’t started anything new yet but I still have these 2 bee quilts to finish for Siblings Together:

I didn’t manage to find any suitable fabrics at the Stitching, Sewing and Hobbycrafts show last week so I’ve ordered some from the Fabric Guild.  The truth is there was plenty of fabric but I can’t afford to pay £10 per metre for backing fabric right now (especially for 2 quilts), £3.30 per metre is what I call a bargain!

This still needs to be turned into a cushion cover:

Last night I finally got around to start hand quilting this:

This time I’m using a hoop and hoping that the outcome will be better than last time!

  1. You have been very busy this week. The two scrappy log cabin quilts are pretty with all the bright colors and your cushion squares are so pretty. Oh my gosh, your quilting is amazing. Very nice work on all three projects.
