All too often terrible events happen across the world, many of which we are unable to do much about but we can respond to them.
So I made a couple blocks for Pulse; I couldn’t resist using the selvedge in this:
I had enough of this gorgeous rainbow print too:
Then the MP Jo Cox was murdered and the Leeds MQG put out a call for wonky cross blocks to make quilts for her bereaved family.
Tobit made his first ever quilt block following Lisa’s instructions:
The children all chose some fabric from stash and I made blocks so that there is one from each member of our family:
It was a complete coincidence that we chose similar/coordinating fabrics! Tobit decided to make a heart block too:
If you want to help you can, for details on making blocks or #quiltsforpulse please go to Orlando MQG (if you’re in the UK you can send blocks to @esthermorrey on IG who is posting them off to the USA) and for making #quiltsforjo visit the Leeds MQG. Let us show love and hope to others in these sad times.
Thank you so much for making the blocks for LeedsMQG and sharing the links and the love. xxx
Lovely blocks xx
