Sunday Stash #63

17 Jul

I had no plans for buying fabric this week until a request for certain items was received and coincided with an email notification of Doughty’s summer sale.

Very soon a parcel arrived with these delicious contents:

Untitled

3 metres of the one on the left (that was all that was left) and 2 metres on the one on the right.  Both of them were labelled in a very nondescript way as Summer Sale Winceyette.  But I had recognised the one on the left as a Robert Kaufman Cozy Cotton (flannel) so knew that would be perfect for the task in hand and the one on left (selvedge reads R.E.D International Textiles) I thought could easily fulfil Leah’s request for new pyjama’s.

I’ve already cut into the blue and yellow stripy mosaic fabric and hope to have the item finished before the end of the week.  So it’s definitely time to link up with Molli Sparkles and get sewing:

  1. What interesting fabrics. I envy your Robert Kaufman find! It is VERY pretty. I’m really not a fan of skull fabrics, but yours has such pretty designs to form the skulls.

I’ve just followed you and am looking forward to see what you’re going to create!

It’s nice to “meet” you by blog, Mary!

  2. love both fabrics. It just shows that sometimes the gems can be buried. Cozy cotton flannel sounds so much user friendly now than winycette doesn’t it?
