A new pyjama pattern

10 Aug

I’ve written recently about the Goodnight Sweetheart pyjama pattern; sadly Leah is now too big for this pattern and I don’t have the skills to grade it up for her so I had to find a new pattern.  I did a bit of research and ended up buying Kwik Sew 3604 which goes from 4-5 years to 14 years so should cover my children for a good few years.

UntitledOn a whim I bought some skull flannel fabric with pyjama’s for Leah in mind: UntitledShe was delighted that I chosen this for her and couldn’t wait for me to get sewing. Leah doesn’t feel the cold so it was no surprise that she chose the short version of the top and bottoms (and a good job too because I didn’t really have fabric to make long versions). She was happy to pose for photo’s: IMG_8939The pattern was easy to follow, I made the 7-8 size and lengthened the shorts by an 1″. Leah is 9 but her height is in line with the 7-8 size rather than the 10 yr. IMG_8938Apparently these pyjama’s help her sleep which is wonderful. I’m not sure why these weren’t on my FAL list, but who cares when we have one happy child?
