Last month I pulled this cheater print from my stash to make a quick baby gift for one of Tobit’s colleagues.
I had some fabric that was great for backing (Town and Country Kyoto Blue by Pepper Cory for Studio E) so I basted it and took it with me to the first meeting of the South West Modern Quilt Guild.
I quilted it simply with Aurifil 2600 50 weight, it’s a lovely silvery grey and it worked perfectly.
I bound it with Kona canary fabric leftover from the Groove quilt
Possibly the quickest quilt I’ve ever made; it’s been gifted to the mum to be all ready to wrap up her baby boy when he arrives:
This was on my first quarter FAL list so I’ll be linking up at the end of next month.
It might be cheating, just a wee bit, but it’s perfect for a wee baby boy! Hope you’re all well xx
Sometimes a quick and cheerful present is required. They don’t all have to be elaborate masterpieces! And great you have a finish off your list.
It might be a “cheater print” but there is no cheating here, so cute! Thank you for linking up on behalf of the 2017 global Finish-A-Long hosts.
That’s a great print! Not cheating at all; it looks great!
