Red and white

28 Mar

I finished this quilt last month but it’s taken a while to get it photographed.  It’s a quilt for Siblings Together and I’ve had foundation pieced blocks sent from various parts of the world, thanks to all the members of the bee and others who contributed.  It was on my first quarter FAL list and probably the biggest tick off that list.

A sunny day in the park with two young helpers meant Tobit could get some shots in:IMG_0126Lots of red scraps and low volume prints makes for a gorgeous quilt.  I had a couple of spare blocks so added them in to the back:

I quilted with Aurifil 2600 in 50 wt in diagonal lines across the quilt.

This will be sent off to Siblings Together ready for their summer camps; if you want to get involved in making blocks, a whole quilt, quilting a quilt or donating fabric get in touch via the blog.

  1. Oh I do love a red and white quilt! This is a great contribution to the Siblings Together appeal for this summer Mary. Congrats to you and your bee buddies for making it happen. On behalf of the 2017 global FAL hosts, thank you for participating in this quarter’s FAL.
