You might not remember this quilt from December last year:
It was made with 6 FQ’s and I kept the leftovers just because that’s what I do! I discovered them one day last week and wondered what I could do with them that would be suitable for a Christmas gift for a toddler. The triangles were left from cutting on the fold, I must have been fairly careful in my cutting because they were an almost perfect 3.25″.
I asked the question on IG and littlehousenthedairy suggested a dolls quilt, I gave it some thought and remembered how much my children have enjoyed having blankets and quilts for their toys so went with it as a great idea. I pulled out some green Kona Dimensions to coordinate with it and got piecing, before long I had a mini quilt! I had a FQ of Kona Corn in my stash which was a pretty good match with the yellow so added that to make it a bit bigger: 
I quilted it using Aurifil 2810 28 weight on the top, I knew which one to use because I made a note of it in my blog post about the original quilt.
It pays to write these details down! 
Believe it or not I actually made the quilt to fit the size of a long hoarded piece of Summersville! It seemed silly not to, it was the perfect backing fabric, so the quilt measure 18″ x 20″.
I bound it using all the scraps from the Savanna Bop fabric and then some strips of the Dimensions and some Summersville Crosshatch. I am so pleased with how this turned out and that I could use up every last scrap of fabric from the bundle of Savanna Bop (by Thomas Knauer). 
So that’s another tick on the Christmas gift list.
There’s a toy out there which is going to be very grateful for this quilt…and a little one who will love to tuck it round it!
