Freestyle sewing

My sewing machine is back from it’s service but I’d not even got it out to see how it’s running because I was having such a great time with the Singer!  I was having a bit of an issue because the feed dogs can’t be dropped on it but Tobi managed to find someone selling cover plates that go over the top of them and so that arrived on Thursday and there was even more fun to be had!

I’ve also had a go at freestyle writing  which was fun and gets much better with practice!  When complete it will be a gift for a beautiful baby girl who I had the great pleasure to meet today, (in fact they called in without notice while I was working on the project and I couldn’t resist showing the unfinished article!).  I’ve now had to get my Janome out to sew through the layers of denim to put the book together… more pictures to follow.
