Hello and welcome to my corner of the blogging world.
I’m Mary, 30 something, living in the south west of the UK with my 3 small children and amazingly wonderful patient and tolerant husband!
I love to sew, and often do so in spite of everything else going on around me, it’s my safe space, my therapy!
For nearly a year I’ve been getting out of bed early on a Sunday morning and spending half an hour or so rummaging around at the car boot sale, what I’ve mainly been looking for is vintage sheets, and I’ve been fortunate enough to find a few:
Back in January I joined in the Oh My Stars quilt along and used vintage sheets to make this beauty:
You can read more about it here as my entry into Bloggers Quilt Festival.
As a result of my car boot and charity shop finds our house is overflowing with vintage sheets so at the beginning of the month I set up an Etsy shop selling vintage sheet charm packs:
Over the weekend I whizzed up a baby quilt using a pack of 42 charm squares:
And I have now listed Vintage Sheet Baby Quilt Kits for sale and I’m offering you the chance to win your very own kit. And whether you win this kit or not, this week I’m offering you 10% discount in my shop using the code SMS0512 until 5pm PST on Friday 25 May.

I’d be making a baby quilt for my impending arrival. I have to admit I’m a little jealous of your finds, I’ve been to a few of my local car boots and been very disappointed. I’ve also tried my local charity shops where lone pillow cases are £3 each. Maybe I’m just too cheap….Although it’s been noticed you’re in the South west too, perhaps you’re beating me to it and I just need to get up earlier 😉
I would make that quilt for my new grandson. I just made him a stuffed dog with a charm pack, he could have a quilt to cuddle in with it….
Oh I was lucky enough to be at the birth of my best friends 3rd and final baby! It was incredible so I would totally make one for her to make the occasion!!

I have a co-worker who is expecting two grandbabies this year, a close friend who is expecting her first grandchild and a friend who wants me pay me to make something for his friend who is expecting. So 4 baby ‘things’ to make. This would be perfect!
My cousin is really into vintage and she’s having a baby in August. I would use it for her for sure.
I LOVE that baby quilt!!! I’d definitely be making it for either myself(hoping for number 2 soon as my first is already 7!!) or for my best friend who’s having a baby girl in September! Going to look at your shop now… Thanks for participating in the giveaway day! 🙂
I would make this quilt all for ME. 🙂 Nobody I know would love the vintage prints like I do anyway — I’ve actually be totally obsessed with them lately, and have just started to collect them myself! Thanks for the giveaway chance!

This would be for my very first quilt and would be for either my daughter, my new baby due in September or a good friend’s baby due in November!
I just found out that two of my cousins are expecting! One baby is already in trouble tho…with its intestines and some other organs growing outside of its wee little body 🙁 I think I would make this little blanket up for that wee one. I think a soft vintage sheet blanket would be just right after sergury (the baby will have sergury immediately after its born.)
I’m hoping I win so I can Pay Forward my blessing 🙂
Your star quilt is amazing! I would make a baby quilt out of the vintage sheet charms, for my new granddaughter. Actually, I already made her two quilts but a girl can never have too many!
I won’t know until November, but if I have a girl I will make it for my sweet daughter. I also have six friends giving birth in October and it would make a great baby gift for one of them!
I have several cousins due late summer and early fall. No one knows what they are having. All of the new babies could use a quilt! Thanks for the chance to win!

What pretty vintage fabric! I have two soon-to-be-born nieces, and I’m sure I could figure out something to make with such lovely fabric. Thanks for the chance!
I also liked you on Facebook.
With grandchildren coming in June & August it will not be difficult to find a baby that will love this quilt!
Thanks for the chance.
i think would make it as a blanket/mat for my dogs to lay on (i hope that’s not offensive that it’s not for a baby?! they are my kids ;))

Your “Oh My Stars” is absolutely stunning!!!! Beautiful! If I am the oh-so-lucky winner, my granddaughter, Clarabel, will be the lucky little girl to get the quilt! Thank you so much for the chance to enter for your wonderful prize!! 🙂

My dear friend is expecting baby #3 next month- I could whip this up by the baby shower for sure!
I’d make this for my niece so she’d quit stealing the quilt I made for her mom!
My cousin who’s baby is due in Nov.
Our small office has lots of young people and they keep having babies… I think it would go to one of them. Or a grandchild of mine- when that happens. Thanks for participating in the Giveaway Day.
