Enjoying the chevron trend and a giveaway – now closed

16 Jul

Chevrons are everywhere, on fabric, nails, floors, walls and clothing, if you don’t believe me check out this pinterest board I put together at the weekend and there are just a few of the images I found!

Inspired by this and with a need to do something with a huge stack of vintage sheet charm squares I decided to make a chevron quilt:

I used a gorgeous yellow/orange sheet for the backing:

And the wonderful stripy sheet for the binding again:

I’ve made up some kits and have them for sale in my Etsy shop.  I’m also thinking about adding a custom option, you let me know what colour quilt you would like to make and I’ll send you the kit with those colours in.  You could choose anything from just 2 colours to 6, and could have for example 2 pinks but different prints – I’d love to know what you think of this idea.

I’m so pleased with the finished quilt that I’m already thinking about scaling this up and using 10″ squares to make bigger chevrons and a bigger quilt.

So would you like to make one?  I’m giving away one quilt kit (not including batting) to one lucky reader.   International entries welcome.

To enter just leave a comment below, if you want to tell me what you think about chevrons please do.

Extra entries:

Add my Etsy shop to your favourites – one entry.
