If you been here over the last few months you may well know that I have been making quilts for Siblings Together. I still have 2 unfinished quilts they just need binding (I am so bored of seeing this photo):
I have made the binding using scraps from the fabrics in the quilts:
Making binding creates more scraps if you piece with a diagonal seam. So rather than chucking all the offcuts into the bin I stitched them in their pairs. I now have this:
Each square is 2″ and as you can see there are a fair few! Now I need to decide what to do with them. I might sew them in to a block and do the same with other ‘scrap’ HST’s that are created from other projects and then sew all the blocks into a scrap quilt, a reminder of a whole load of other projects!
Any other suggestions are welcome…

Well done Mary! You are doing so well with those scraps! I think another scrap quilt is brewing don’t you? Thanks for joining up with #scraptastictuesday
I love each of these projects. I often use a scrappy binding but since I just do a horizontal join, I don’t have all those cute triangles to play with too.
Scraps from scraps quilt sounds like a lovely memory quilt! I do love a scrappy binding 🙂
I love the idea of a scrap triangle quilt!
