Quarter 2 Finish Along List

I’m going to quickly write this list in the hope that I can get all the items ticked off just as quickly!

I bought some remnants of denim from the Fabrics Galore stand at the quilt show in Exeter last week; I’m going to make denim shorts for M and denim shorts for L.  They both wear shorts most of the year round so they get good wear out of them.  I’ll be using the Cargo board short pattern from Little One Yard Wonders and the shorts pattern by Made Everyday.

I sort of joined the Kicks Quilt along (pattern by Latifah Saafir) but have only made one Adam block so far. I need to turn this into something for someone who celebrated their birthday in January. I can’t think of anything else but a cushion cover.  The block is 14″ x 8″ so if you have any other suggestions please be quick and let me know!

I pulled out scraps that I had left from a project and started a scrappy quilt, I have lots of blocks ready to be chopped and pieced around a solid central square:
I converted my Caernarfon Welsh blanket quilt pattern into a paper pieced pattern. I’ve purchased the fabrics; Wildside by Libs Elliott.  I need head space and time to get on with this, I have a self imposed deadline of end of August.

Shirt quilt – carried over, I’ve made more blocks, I need to make more.

I’ve made a lot more drunkards path blocks this quarter thanks to donations from lovely people on IG; I think I’m ready to decide on a layout and piece the top:

Sailors Top – I have the pattern and the fabric;:

I’ve made no progress on this one: new placemats; I opted to open up some charm packs that have been in my stash for long enough.

This was started in October, initially the plan was to finish it for a birthday that month, then I was going for Christmas….

I took part in a swap in 2014 of paper pieced shirts (pattern by Carolyn Friedlander.  I used 4 of them in a cushion cover and the rest of them are still waiting to be stitched in to something.
