Despite the silence over here I have been busy; too busy to sit down and write a blog post or 7!
Today is Sunday; I’ve basted a quilt and am having a rest before quilting commences so I thought I’d share some recent acquisitions.
I’m delighted to say that I’ve won a few of these additions. First was two new patterns from Jo Avery (mybearpaw) and her collaboration as part of the Thread House:
I especially love the Conkers quilt pattern, it’s definitely conker season here but I’m not if I’ll have time before next season to make this! Check out Jo’s IG stream to see more detailed photo’s of these two patterns. Thanks Jo.
I made the necessary but boring purchase of a bolt of wadding and added in 2 metres of flannel to make short pyjama’s for Bethan.
I won a pair of tickets to the Stitching, Sewing and Hobbycrafts show in Exeter next weekend from the lovely ladies at Sugarbowl Crafts, so there will be another chance to fabric shop!
Interfacing is like wadding a necessity and Ali at Very Berry Handmade had a metre of Vilene G700 to giveaway, it’s a woven cotton interfacing and one of my most used and favourite so I put my name in the hat and I was the lucky winner. There is no photo to share because well it’s interfacing and not that pretty but believe me it will be put to good use.
Bored of my winnings yet? I’m not! Last week M is for Make had an IG giveaway of a bundle of the most gorgeous Maribel by Annabel Wrigley and I was the lucky random person to whom it came! The giveaway ended on Monday and the bundle arrived the very next day.
Autumn is well on it’s way here, but these fabrics scream Spring to me. I need to finish a commission before I can play with this bundle,it will be before Spring arrives though! Kate’s service is excellent and if you need fabric is an hurry it’s definitely worth shopping there. If you’d like to get your hands on this fabric then you can find it here, I think they may be the only stockists of it in the UK.
I’m off to start quilting (after lunch) so for now I’m linking up with Molli, have you anything to share?
Lucky indeed! enjoy your winnings!
Congratulations on all those lovely winnings!
