I thought it was about time we refreshed the header image and Tobi got on the case! I love this brooch, it’s made from some vintage fabric that has been lurking in our loft for a number of years and at least one house move. Much as I love it I gifted it to one of the girl’s teachers at the end of last term as I can’t justify keeping everything I make! Last week whilst making some hair band bobbles I found it again and have enough to make a couple more brooches or maybe a little purse and this time might keep it for myself!
This week I have been trying to sew like crazy but it has been more just crazy, the week has disappeared somewhere… ok maybe not quite that dramatic! I have managed to start and (more importantly) finish 2 bags, 5 purses, draw a pattern for and make a pencil roll (something that has been on my list of things to do for many a month and has been forced upon me by the thought of Christmas sales and lots of children’s birthdays), I’ve also cut (actually some of the cutting was delegated) for a couple more bags.
I thought I had the plan for Christmas sales all sorted and then on Saturday morning a teacher from school called asking if I could show at her church Christmas event which is less than 3 weeks away! HELP! I said ‘yes’ so HELP some more! I guess it’s just a real unknown, my thought is if I have plenty of stock ready then if I don’t sell it I will have plenty for the next one! I now have a long list of things to do for the Christmas events and it’s half term this week! Oh well, there is a really good reason for early bedtimes for children and late ones for me!
