My eldest daughter had an invitation to a Hello Kitty pyjama party this weekend. We are not fans of Hello Kitty in this house and certainly don’t have any pyjamas with it on. However I thought I’d do a search for Hello Kitty fabric and yes it’s available. So I ordered a smallish piece and, as a pencil roll has been on my list of things to do for a long time I decided to give it a go. I spent an afternoon fiddling around with measurements, fabric and wadding and eventually came up with this:
I was pretty pleased with it, especially for a first attempt, I’ve drawn a template and now modified it so am ready (when time allows) to make more hopefully for the Christmas fairs! I have also been making some little coin purses so made a few in the same fabric to go with it. She had a great time at the party and now seems to be accessorised in Hello Kitty!
