The end of another week and another amazing Sew, Mama, Sew giveaway day. Thank you to all those who visited, for your lovely birthday wishes and welcome to all the new subscribers.
Before I announce the giveaway winner I thought I’d share photo’s of some of my birthday goodies:
My gorgeous daughters bought these for me, made by a very talented lady, Lucky Lulu. We are lucky enough to have her living local to us and she had a stall at the Craft Jam at Exeter Castle last weekend and the girls sneaked off and spent their savings.
I had been wanting some ‘tape measure’ fabric for a while, Tobit even searched for some on his trip to San Francisco last year, the other day an email landed in my junk folder and as I was just about to delete it and something caught my eye ‘fabric on sale’. So I headed over to the Fabric Guild and found some great fabrics for only £4.95 a yard, which in the UK is a bit of a bargain (and they had some not so nice stuff for even less). I duly sent the link to my husband and low and behold on my birthday I received this:
A yard of each colour from the American Jane Recess range. Fabric shoppers be aware the postage charge is calculated as you put stuff in the basket. This lot was quoted at £5 to post which funnily enough Tobit thought was quite a lot. Later in the week he discovered that they had only charged him £2.70. I’d say they are missing a trick, I, for one am put off by expensive postage.
Oh yes and the chocolate cake was delicious and has all disappeared somewhere!
So without further ado I’ve put the numbers in and the winner of the vintage sheet charms is…
who is:
Congratulations Rachael, I’ve sent you an email and will get this off to you as soon as I have your address.
And remember if you didn’t win there is still a chance to get a 15% discount in my shop using the code SMS1212 until tomorrow 9 December 2012 at 9pm (UK time).
Oooh, the family done good!
I saw some of this fabric at Empress Mills in Colne, on Wednesday and was sorely tempted!
