Last weekend Kristy asked for pattern testers and because I don’t have enough to do I stuck my hand in the air ‘yes, me please’. I spent a few therapeutic hours on Wednesday evening stitching this gorgeous creature together:
As I often find when pattern testing for Kristy the block came together simply with no need for adjustment (but better to be safe than sorry). I have never been a fan of batiks but some has sneaked into my scrap box and I decided that it would be great for butterfly wings. I think I’ll use this 8″ block in a bag or pouch for a girl somewhere and at the point that I remove the paper I might well embroider some more detail on (that’s if I remember!).
It won’t be long before Kristy has this pattern up for sale in her Craftsy shop and for now she’s just listed her gorgeous Lego patterns for free!
I’m linking up with the party over at Quiet Play:
And watch out, I’ve got a great giveaway coming up soon for those of you who don’t spend all your time at the sewing machine and like to play family games…
Sweet butterfly! Jxo
Pretty!
The batik works well for the wings 🙂
Very pretty, even the batik looks perfect 😉
so pretty 🙂
I’m not a fan of batiks either, but they look beautiful in the wings!
Love it! The batik is just perfect for the butterfly wings!!
Can you supply a link for the pattern? I can’t find it on Craftsy.
