I’ve got a few things on the go this week;
a pile of fabric cut and ready to sew into Christmas pillowcases for the children:
They will be done before Christmas I’m sure!
On a more serious note I’ve whipped up these hashtag blocks to send to Molli Sparkles in Australia for his Help For Sydney Heroes, his plan is to make ‘two seriously awesome, rainbow quilts celebrating the lives of two seriously, wildly deserving people’. Judging by the response so far he’ll have enough blocks for more than two quilts, but that can’t be a bad thing, like he say’s ‘what can I do?’ and like many others in this community the response is that ‘I can make quilts’. If you want to contribute follow the link above.
A quick trim after lunch and they’ll be in the post on their way.
Linking up with Lee:
Mary, you are awesome…and very fast!
those pillow cases are going to be adorable…great fabrics!!
I think Molli is going to have enough blocks to make the 6 quilts he hopes to make. That would be seriously awesome!
Gorgeous hashtags, for a fabulous cause. It really its close to home with having family in Sydney.
Mary, do you have a tutorial you are using for the pillowcases? I want to make some for my kids too if I can fit them in before Christmas! Thanks 🙂
Oh I love that vintage christmas print, I just haven’t brought myself to use mine yet! Great idea for pillowcases though.
I sent a donation rather than blocks after my IG mini took forever to arrive in Oz, didn’t want to risk it with dodgy Christmas post!
