Welcome to another Sunday Stash. This week is partly a continuation of birthday gifts; this fat quarter bundle is Honeycomb Dots by Riley Blake Designers:
l-r: red, top row: grey, hot pink, yellow and green, bottom row: black, aqua, blue, brown.
They were bought to fill up another FRE!
The other spotty bundle is a selection of Kaffe Fassett spots from Canton Village Quilt Works. I was lucky enough to win a gift certificate from WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced. Due to the cost of shipping from the US I held on to the certificate considering what to buy and then on Cyber Monday they had 25% off Kaffe prints! I’ve had a few of these prints before in scrap packs from Saints and Pinners (sadly not longer trading) and really liked them so I selected eight fat quarters from a wide selection:
Top row l-r: Tomato, blue, fuschia, orange, bottom row: green, ice, apple, sapphire.
I can see many uses for all of these spots and dots and already have a plan formulating for some of them.
Not so spotty were these birthday gifts:
I’d been wanting a Kwik Klip basting tool for over a year (it was on last years Christmas list) I could really have done with one when I basted that Christmas Swoon quilt 3 times! Anyway I’ve used it on 2 quilts already and it’s brilliant, no more sore fingers or fingernails. The book is delightful, I’ve not spent long looking/reading it yet, but already I’m feeling challenged and inspired; it’s made me think about my creativity and approach to sewing.
I’m off to check out what others have been stashing and linking up with:
I love spots. What lovely gifts!
Nice selection there, I love the Kaffe Fassett spots!
I have a ‘thing’ for dots, too! Love your stash additions!
