It’s half term holiday here this week so it feel like there is little time for sewing but I have a few things to report.
Last week I mentioned a pile of triangles of Curious Nature that I was hoping to transform into a quilt for Siblings Together with the addition of fabric from kind folk around the UK. I had FQ’s and half yard cuts from Catrin, Joanne and Trudi and then Nicky unearthed a delightful variety of print in various sizes. So I’ve spent some time cutting and stitching and now have 8 rows that just need sewing together and I’ll have a finished quilt top!
Due to the sheer amount of fabric sent in I think I have enough for another top! Thank you kind ladies.
Progress on the retro flowers has been slow due to the above, but I am pleased to say that all the units look like this:
But it is the same photo from last week, you just have to take my word for it!
Last week I showed you this:
It’s Home Sweet Home blocks for Siblings Together, we’re collecting them to make quilts for the charity, check out #siblingstogether on IG to see more that others have made, or look in the flickr group.
So far we have received 22 blocks, almost enough for one quilt top, if you look over on the right you’ll see a blockometer and a quiltometer with targets. If you want to help us meet them please leave a comment below 🙂
Linking up with:
love that Parson Grey fabric – that quilt will be very nice
Hopefully you’ll be able to add another six blocks to your block meter soon – I’ve got the charms cut out I just need to sew them together, cut them up again and sew them together again!
It’s going to be a gorgeous quilt! Well done for progress so far, especially in half term! x
The triangle quilt is going to be stunning!
P.S. I notice that your quilt thermometer is at 13 but mine is stuck at 11…any idea what I’ve done wrong?!
Making quilts for a charity is such a great idea. I would like to help and donate some blocks, but I don’t use flickr. Can you let me know where to send my blocks, please. Thank’s for your great work, Mary.
