Sunday Stash #44

27 Sep

It’s been a while since I joined in with Sunday Stash; I’ve not had much to show but have rounded up a few bits.

I bought half a yard of Berry Texture:

(I don’t think it’s really quite this bright) and 3.5 metres of Stone Cable Knit, both fabrics from the Winterberry line by Kate and Birdie.  Both have been used to back and bind my Winterberry quilt, there should be a blog post on that in the next day or so.

This weekend there has been the Stitching, Sewing and Hobbycraft show on in Exeter so I popped along on Friday with my friend Sue who managed to get free tickets; I only purchased 2 things!  2 metres of jersey fabric, for so long I have been thinking about doing some more sewing with knits but failing to buy any fabric for it, this caught my eye:

I was surprised and delighted to see that New Threads had charm packs of Modern Background Paper for sale, a FQ bundle is on my wish list for birthday/Christmas but I thought I’d get a charm pack and see if I really wanted a FQ of each print or if I would prefer to be more selective – I’ve yet to decide!

The lady on the stand said that the charm packs had arrived on Monday and they packed the van on Tuesday for the show so they are not on their website yet.  I guess if you ‘need’ one then it would be worth giving them a call.

While acquiring fabric I’m also trying to destash!  I had a massive clear out this week of my vintage sheet cupboards and will be listing bundles and more in my etsy shop all discounted for a short period.

I’m linking up with Molli for this weeks:

  1. Great fabrics, I love the modern background fabrics. I got a FQ bundle and there are several that I want to buy more, but I like the all.
