My one and only Black Friday purchase; three metres of Kona Silver from The Village Haberdashery, it’s destined to be the background of a Preppy the Whale quilt for my son. I bought the pattern a month or so ago and have been mulling over the choice of background fabric, I have a little bit of silver in my stash and decided that it would work well.
I searched around for the best price in the UK and this was it, I was slightly gutted to find that after I’d placed the order I could have saved £6 buying it elsewhere if only the shop had called it Silver rather than ‘Sliver’! Online shopping is brilliant as I don’t have a local Kona stockist but we all know that as Kona have 303 colours now it can make trawling a website tedious if they don’t organise the colours (or spell their names correctly).
More visually interesting and probably more exciting for me right now is this 4 metre cut of Blue-Green Square flowers from the Color Collection by Andover, no need for a Black Friday deal on this from the almost always a bargain Fabric Guild.
It will soon be the backing for my Welsh Blanket quilt:
Hopefully I can get it finished this week, or at least piece the backing!
Have a great Sunday, I’m linking up with:
