WIP Wednesday

20 Jan

Today the house smells amazing; it’s marmalade making season and I have a small amount on the stove:

UntitledThere’s not a lot of sewing going on but I have managed to finish these whales: Screen Shot 2016-01-20 at 12.38.51 So adding them to these means I have 48 in total which I think is enough for the quilt for my boy: Screen Shot 2016-01-20 at 12.38.36 My son is wanting/expecting this to be finished really soon, so maybe I’ll have progress to show you next week. I’ve put my quilt maths to one side until I have the head space to tackle it again but I have tackled another project that has been on my radar for months if not a year!  With the help of my awesome husband I wallpapered the chimney breast in my sewing space:Untitled

We’ve never wallpapered before so feel pretty pleased with the result.  I used a roll of vintage wallpaper that I picked up in the charity shop a while ago for just 50p! Here’s a close up of the print:

So lots of stuff going on, not all of it sewing but they are all adding something to our home!

  1. The scary thing is that I remember that style of wallpaper for real….

The whales look great and for not a lot of sewing going on that’s an awful lot of them!
