Before the quarter began I’d had a request to make shorts for my eldest child. I happened to have some leftovers of a cotton/linen mix that I’d used to make shorts for T last year and I reckoned there was enough of it for a pair of shorts.

A quick look at patterns and we decided on the Juba shorts in womenssize small. The pattern doesn’t have pockets as standard so I added in inseam pockets because let’s be honest you can’t have shorts without pockets.

No photoshoot for these but here’s an action shot I just found when searching through our holiday photo’s. This is on the descent from La Dent du Chat a stunning viewpoint over Lac Bourget and a bit of a climb to get there but well worth it for the views. This is one of the views of La Dent du Chat on our walk.

Based on the number of times these shorts were worn over the summer I’m definitely deeming them a success and ticking them off the list (and anticipating a request for another pair next year!).
Wow, the view is stunning! And the shorts look comfy and practical, definitely a win!
