I’ve been too busy sewing to blog! I’ve agreed to have a stall at the school fete in a couple of weeks so have been trying to produce enough ‘stuff’ for it. The crazy thing is that it is on the day we get back from holiday so I need to have everything organised to the finest detail before we go (Tobi says its fine for me to take my sewing machine on holiday, I’m just trying to decide whether or not I would be really mad to do that!). Fortunately my friend and neighbour has kindly offered to help set up so it shouldn’t be too manic. This will be my first event so we have been brain storming ideas and scouring charity shops for useful items to help our display, best so far have been some bits from Steptoes (our visit there also resulted in a fire surround/mantelpiece for our living room for the grand sum of £15!).
I think I’ve made enough to make it look good on the day but I guess it’s good to have things in reserve and I also feel I’m on a roll so I’ll keep sewing! I’m not concerned about selling lots of things but see it more as a PR exercise, the expression ‘pictures speak louder than words’ springs to mind. When I have a minute I’ll post some photo’s of all the stuff.
