Our friends little girl had her 1st birthday last week and on Saturday we went and celebrated with them. All week I had been thinking about what I could make for her. I made a book for her when she was born so that was already off the list. It came to Friday night and I really needed to get on with something, so inspired by Kerry’s mini tote tutorial I made this:
I ran out of time to do any lovely hand stitching detail and don’t have the equipment to do any lovely stamping like Kerry did, but I’m still pleased with it for a last minute job! The patchwork fabrics I used are from the Japanese Charm swap that I took part in last year. This is the first time I’ve cut into those fabrics! The handles and lining are St Michaels vintage sheets circa 1970’s.
Cute way to use up those charms, sure it was appreciated
Cute make Mary, those Japanese fabrics are perfect for the little squares in the bag!
Love it Mary, ideal for a little girl x
Yay, you finally got to use them!
