Digger cushion

11 Dec

Have you entered my Sew Mama Sew giveaway? It’s still open here.

Back in August I did some paper piece testing for Kristy at Quiet Play, I even wrote about it here:

Digger paper pieced block - pattern by Kristy at Quiet Play

Some time later I turned it into a cushion cover for my son’s 4th birthday:

I gave the block a border of Wickerweave in Charcoal which is an almost solid print, and then added a border of Truck Stop by Alexander Henry.

In real life the back looks a bit better than this, I think the photo’s were taken after a bit of use by Mathias, it was nice to use more of that print, it’s pretty interesting for a 4 year old boy!

If you want the pattern you can find it here in Kristy’s Craftsy shop.

  1. Great use for it! Said boy would have been thrilled at the big digger thingy outside my window last night. I was just a bit perplexed…

  2. such a great present. My boys still love watching diggers even though they are a bit older now!
