Sunday Stash #23

21 Dec

Ok this is the last of the birthday stash I promise! AND I am contemplating a fabric fast for the next 6 months at least!

First up is a line that came out in April when I was still in the midst of my fabric fast; Dreamin’ Vintage by Jeni Baker. I think she might be responsible for my love of vintage sheets so it was only natural for me to love her vintage sheet inspired line of fabric!

Dreamin' Vintage

The lovely Ceri had shared some of her Dreamin’ Vintage stash with me when I pointed her in the direction of it on sale, it confirmed that I really wanted some, so a FQ bundle was on put on my birthday wish list.

The other line that came out early in the year was Vintage Happy by Lori Holt of Bee in My Bonnet:

I bought Lori’s first fabric line Sew Cherry and really enjoy seeing her bright, cheerful fabrics and the amazing work she produces.  I was pretty gutted to have committed to a fabric fast when this hit the shops, but I helped Lynne of Lily’s Quilts out of a tight spot and she rewarded me with fabric; I remembered seeing that she was working with some Vintage Happy so begged her to send me any scraps she had, she very kindly did and reinforced my desire to have more!  I particularly love these yard panels:

Now I just need to decide what to sew with these two bundles of loveliness, I may need to hide them from my 2 daughters who have just shown a keen interest in making quilts!

I’m off to check out what others have been stashing and linking up with:

  1. I’ve had requests from the boys for quilts now that Ellen’s is finished. Might have to be next years birthday projects.

  2. I’m with you on the love for Vintage Happy. Have 2 mini charm packs of it begging to be granny squared up. Might be my Christmas week project actually!

  3. Lucky you! Now this might sound strange taking my love of vintage sheets into consideration but I’m not really into dreamin vintage. I don’t know why. I love Nordika and most of Jeni’s work but really don’t feel this line! Wierd eh?

I’m very lucky in that I won a cushion cover made by Reene out of vintage happy so I get to look at it every day????
