I’m delighted to have finished 2 scrappy log cabin quilts since last weeks WIP post, I haven’t started anything new yet but I still have these 2 bee quilts to finish for Siblings Together:
I didn’t manage to find any suitable fabrics at the Stitching, Sewing and Hobbycrafts show last week so I’ve ordered some from the Fabric Guild. The truth is there was plenty of fabric but I can’t afford to pay £10 per metre for backing fabric right now (especially for 2 quilts), £3.30 per metre is what I call a bargain!
This still needs to be turned into a cushion cover:
Last night I finally got around to start hand quilting this:
This time I’m using a hoop and hoping that the outcome will be better than last time!

Love the colors in your bee quilts. Very happy!
You have been very busy this week. The two scrappy log cabin quilts are pretty with all the bright colors and your cushion squares are so pretty. Oh my gosh, your quilting is amazing. Very nice work on all three projects.
Beautiful projects! Well done on the finished tops and that cushion is so pretty! I can’t for the life of me quilt using a hoop but hope you find it helps 🙂
Lovely hand quilting! (Am keen to see the whole quilt!)
Beautiful and bright quilts. The hand quilting looks great.
Three gorgeous projects – good luck with them!
This is such a pretty quilt and I love the blue stitching you are doing. That will really make it sing.
