Sunday Stash #68

4 Dec

It’s been a while since I posted here and I’m not apologising!  Sometimes it’s just not as important as other stuff.  But now I have some fabric to share so thought I’d take some time to sit and write.

A delivery of bargain flannels from the Fabric Guild means I’ll be making new pyjamas for each of my children this year:

They chose the fabrics, i just need to get tracing, cutting and sewing, I’ll be using Kwik Sew #3604.

I took advantage of the ‘Black Friday’ sale at FabricHQ and bought myself some sweatshirting, jersey and rib fabrics to make some clothes for me.

I also bought the Linden Sweatshirt pattern by Grainline Studio to accompany these.

In November I was a lucky winner of one of the Scraptastic Tuesday prizes which was a voucher to spend at Simply Solids.  I placed an order last weekend and made the most of their sale:

The delivery included 1.5 metres of Kona Silver so that I can continue with my niece’s 18th birthday quilt, fat quarters of Mendocino prints for another niece’s birthday gift.  The other prints: Carkai – Grid Diamond in navy metallic by Carolyn Friedlander just because I like a dark blue, XOXO in velvet ribbon by Cotton and Steel because I have a lack of reds and the Sunprint endpaper in cinnabar by Alison Glass because it is stunning and beautiful!  Thank you so much to Simply Solids for sponsoring Scraptastic Tuesday and Nicky and Leanne for organising it each month.

It was my birthday yesterday and I received some sewing related goods from my lovely children and husband:

A seam roller (no more using my fingers!), Haptic Lab constellation quilt kit – fortunately in the smaller size!  And a Maker’s Workbook, I’ve started writing in this already.  Creative Industry have a sale on this weekend and I’m fortunate that business owner Clare lives less than 10 minutes walk from me so when I ran out of Swedish Tracing paper this morning I placed an order and had a message that I could pick it up this afternoon then I can continue with tracing pyjama patterns.

So for now I’m linking up with:

  1. Hi Mary! Your new fabrics are beautiful but those little, tiny, cute foxies are just something else! Amazing print! Maker’s workbook looks really great! x Teje
