Surprise, surprise yes it’s a blog post! I have been sewing but not found much time to write here so I do have a few things to catch up on – all in good time. For today I have some fabric post to share. I had a Facebook notification that The Fabric Frieze had 50% off all fabric and I thought I’d take a quick look and found a few prints that would make a good addition to my stash:
Firstly I picked a metre of Moon Phases Milky Way in natural (Nocturne by Janet Clare) for the backing of my Haptic Labs Constellations quilt that I can’t start until I have the backing as it’s a hand quilting project:
Now I just need to finish my World Map quilt so I can start on the constellations.
The other prints are all from Carolyn Friedlanders Botanics range which I’ve not had any prints from before. I bought half a metre of each to add to my low volume stash, first is Ash Grey Trees
This is Charcoal Leaves, I think I’ve had some of this in a Low Volume charm swap that I took part in:
And one can never have enough of a stripy print: Grey Dawn Stripe
I was pretty restrained considering there was lots of lovely fabric to choose from and it’s a local shop so while I paid for postage there was no danger of a customs charge.
Anyway that’s all for today I hope to be back soon to show some finished makes, for now I’m linking up with the jet setting Molli:
Oooh! I love those charcoal leaves! I will have to pop over to The Fabric Frieze and take a look around!
That moon print is stunning and lovely CF haul!
