Long, long ago in March 2016 I pattern tested for Kristy of Quiet Play. I loved the result and pinned the block on to the board in my sewing space. This quarter I decided that I really needed to do something with it and then the perfect opportunity arose: Secret Santa swap at my local modern quilt guild meeting.
It wasn’t a ‘true’ secret santa in that we weren’t making for a particular partner but we all made a pouch and then drew one from the sack at our December meeting. This meant that I didn’t need to ‘stalk’ anyone and try and work out what to make but I just made something I thought was lovely!
I used scraps for the bottom and back of the pouch from a quilt I made for Karen Lewis in 2016 with her Blueberry Park fabrics. The lining was an off cut from some backing fabric that I supplied for two of the charity quilts the guild has made this year. I filled it with sewing goodies for the recipient and sent it on it’s merry way.
So that’s a tick off my list – I’m off to link-up.
That is darling! Lucky recipient is surely thanking Santa.
Fab Secret Santa gift! What a lucky partner. On behalf of the 2017 FAL hosts, thank you for participating in this quarter’s Finish Along.
So adorable! 🙂
