I started the quarter with a pile of open wide zip pouches that were waiting to be finished:
I used up as many scraps as possible to make these pouches:
I used old denim jeans for the bases of these; you can see where I removed the pocket on this one. This one was for Mathias’ teacher, their class name was ‘Elephants’ and they were just finishing a project on recycling and reusing so the denim was ideal.
I seem to remember my starting point with these was the zip; I didn’t have time to buy more so matched the fabrics to the zips!
These fabrics are scraps from a fabric swap at our guild meeting:

The denim on this one is a bit worn so I patched and darned the tear:

I’ve ordered more zips so that next time I won’t be so restricted with fabric choices!
